The pitch practice apparently continued after the meeting ended. For founders whose company story has been repeated often enough that the person building beside them has started to notice.
Clean front. Loud back. A small REGEX wordmark sits on the chest, with the main line across the back. One ink per garment. Comes in Black with white ink or White with black ink.
The joke, explained
Pitching means presenting a business idea, often to potential investors or partners. Saying someone pitches in their sleep exaggerates how rehearsed and consuming that story has become. The co-founder's observation makes the joke feel like an inside report from the person most likely to have heard the presentation before.
For the founder whose co-founder knows the deck by heart.

Questions
Why is the co-founder the one reporting this habit?
They are likely to know the company's pitch and hear it repeatedly. That close perspective makes the exaggerated sleep report sound like an especially informed observation about the founder's routine.
Does the joke need a literal claim about sleep talking?
No. It exaggerates how practiced a pitch can become. The reference works for someone who can deliver the company story almost automatically, whether or not they have ever spoken while asleep.
