The idea cost nothing to type. Running it introduced another unit of accounting. For builders whose casual experimentation eventually becomes a surprisingly detailed conversation with the usage dashboard.
Clean front. Loud back. A small REGEX wordmark sits on the chest, with the main line across the back. One ink per garment. Comes in Black with white ink or White with black ink.
The joke, explained
AI systems often measure text input and output in tokens, and usage can be billed in those units. The design contrasts the ease of writing an instruction with the cost of processing it. The joke makes a seemingly free request sound different once the token accounting enters the conversation.
For the builder who checks token usage after a good experiment.

Questions
What costs money after the prompt has been written?
The joke points to model usage measured in tokens. Writing an instruction may feel effortless, while processing its input and output can contribute to a bill depending on the service.
Does the headline mean every prompt is literally free?
No. The wording is a contrast used for the joke, not a pricing policy. Actual access and billing depend on the service, and the design does not describe any specific plan.
