There is a name, a plan, and a very clear prefix. For founders comfortable announcing the stage before the thing that usually defines it exists.

Pre-seed usually describes an early startup funding stage. Pre-revenue means the business is not yet generating revenue, and pre-product means the product is not yet built. Stacking the three makes the company sound precisely categorized while revealing how much of it still lives in the future.
